Girl who dances in a cage

I had the most amazing massage last night. My massage therapist is this incredibly beautiful woman with strong muscular arms that would make Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2 look skinny. Her massage room has candles and a fountain that sounds like a peaceful brook. She has a large music selection from which you can choose and last night she played my absolute favorite CD. Oh, and the massage table is heated and you can choose your own massage oil from a large selection of scented and unscented! She has gentle hands when she touches my face but strong arms and hands when she beats that knot in my back into submission!

I couldn't figure out why that last knot/trigger point didn't go away on it's own after 3 weeks. She told me something which I'm noting here more for my own memory than anything else. She said when a muscle spasms up that tight it can't heal because the knot is so tight it has cut off it's own blood supply. And without blood flowing to the muscle, it isn't getting any nutrients. And without blood flowing from the muscle, there is nothing to carry away the waste and so the poor muscle is stuck stewing in it's own waste products. By the sound of it, it would just atrophy into that permanent knot had it not been eventually worked out. I've decided that massage is no longer a luxury, but a necessity.
