My kitty familiar

I was using the computer with one arm resting in front of the keyboard. She sat in my lap with her chin resting on my arm so I just had to take a picture!

Meushi & Mommy

I am coming to terms with my kitty obsession. I had recently started referring to myself as "the crazy cat lady" only because I was sure that was how other people would see me. After all, what else would you call some one who is hopelessly head over heels in love with their cat and talks about her constantly and posts pictures of her and can't wait to get home to see her every day?

But I'm not crazy, so I'm going to drop that stereotype now. I'm just extremely bonded and close with my cat. We share everything and we do everything together that I do at home whether it's sleeping or using the computer or meditating or snuggling with a human being (she always has to be right there in the middle of us). And the people in my life have been wonderful enough to either honor or humor my love for her by sharing my attention with her when they are over at my home. Even N, who claimed he didn't like cats, gave in to the kitty snuggle. I've even seen him kiss her on the head the way I do. Smart boys quickly figure out that loving Meushi is one of the keys to my heart. Meushi is my little kitty soulmate.
