I spent a TON of time upside down tonight. Unfortunately I don't have the upper body strength yet to hold a hand stand for more than a couple seconds (even leaning against the pole) or the gymnastic training to get down by just flipping a foot over and standing up like this gal below. But I will keep at it until I find a graceful way to dismount at my current skill level. And if I can round up a spotter, I'd like to learn to just flip over like that:








The woman in the picture has a sample video on her website which is kind of amazing. Work safe, since she's dressed in sports clothes. It's boring for the first few seconds while she does some back arch bounce thing and then from the moment she first flips upside down it's like woah. Her performance is an excellent example of why I'm so passionate about this art. Just look at what she can do!:
