Yesterday, at Akaka Falls, it began to rain. It had been threatening to do so all day as the usual brightly lit sky was shrouded in dark clouds most of the day. But when they finally let loose, it wasn't the usual torrential downpour we get in the rain forest. Just a light rain at first that left your skin refreshed and wanting more of the gentle tickle of raindrops. And the air was still pleasantly comfortable and warm. The combination of the two was something I had never experienced before...warm, tropical rain. It was enough to make me stop and just close my eyes and drop my head back and marvel. Just one of many new wonderful sensation here in Hawaii.
