Because sometimes happiness has to come before money

I am going to cancel/reschedule 2 private lessons this Sunday so I can attend the clothing swap I got an invite to on FaceBook. I spent my Summer being a slave to my own business and I missed so many fun events and so many wonderful social opportunities. Now that the Fall is here and our busy season is winding down, I'm ready to reclaim my life and be social again.

blutears12 and sweetestkiss you should join me for the clothing swap on Sunday!

Quote of the Day

I used to do these every week but I haven't done one in a long time.

"Authentic empowerment is not gained by making choices that do not stretch you."

From "Seat of the Soul" by Gary Zukav

Now it's your turn. Name one choice you made that sretched you or one choice you would like to make that would empower or change you.

Never grieve a well lived life

When some one dies I don't really grieve for or feel bad for them unless I think there is a chance they didn't get to do what they came here for or if there was some song in their heart they never got to see fulfilled. This was definitely not the case with Patrick Swayze. That man got to do everything in life that makes life fulfilling.

He didn't just get to do what he loves for a living, he got to take on a challenging range of roles from action to romantic and tender to playing an incredibly convincing and classy cross dresser. He stretched himself to every limit and facet of the talent he was both born with and cultivated through hard work. And not only did he get to do what he loved for a living, he got to continue to do it right up until the end.

Add to that a successful 34 year marriage and I just don't see how life can get any better than doing what you love and being supported by and bonded to some one you can count on and trust for 34 years. Even when alcoholism marred his life, he had the strength and support to overcome it and recover.

When you live a life that good and that fulfilling, you experience more joy and happiness than most people who live to be 100 years old. So instead of being sad, I say...well done. We should all be as fortunate and blessed as you.
