drugstore.com review

I decided to give drugstore.com a try since the product I want is out of stock at most drug stores and also their prices are less than most drug stores.

They screwed up my order badly...twice. They have some kind of default system where even if you enter the payment method you want, it will STILL charge to a card you don't give them permission to charge to. Also, even if you enter the address you want it shipped to, they will completely ignore that address you ask for and send it to a different address you don't even use or have anymore.

I suppose they are trying to be efficient by finding old information on you and using that for charging and shipping (even at the cost of ignoring all the new info you enter into their website). But in the end it just means some other address that I don't have access to, is getting $46 worth of my merchandise. Their best solution to the problem is making me wait until they can have the order shipped back to them before they resend it, delaying my order by over a week. Not acceptable, they should be re-shipping the order now since they screwed up so badly. You can bet I won't be using drugstore.com ever again.

Kitten goes country

Saturday night was interesting. I joined my friend Dianna at a little mixer where I ran into a mutual friend of myself and i_feel_sick. Then we were off to a party of some of Diana's friends but it wasn't quite my scene. Finally we ended the night at a place in Everett called McCabe's. McCabe's is country western dance bar downstairs and a hip hop dance club upstairs. I only agreed to go because I heard McCabe's has a pole, so of course I had to check it out!

Oddly enough, both the country floor and the hip hop floor had a pole. But both poles were built right onto the edge of a little stage. So it was impossible to even walk around the pole. I wish some one at McCabe's had consulted a professional before installing those poles. They are completely useless when up against a ledge like that. I did manage to go upside down a couple times on one, which caused the crowd on the dance floor to erupt with cheers. But I couldn't do much else on the pole because it was so poorly positioned.

I have to admit I did enjoy watching the country dancing. Everyone walks in pairs around in a circle on the floor, twirling their partners to the music as they go. They offer lessons if you arrive early enough and I think I'd like to try it some time.
