blade lick

What I'm grooving to these days

The link below is my new favorite new song to pole dance to. I'm pole dancing to Josh Groban songs like whoah since the CD's arrived. But this song is truly different from all the others. Most of his songs are inspirational love songs. The theme is pretty much the same to all of them:

The world is a tough, cold place.
You've got pain.
But you want to shine.
I'll support you and love you and guide you as you overcome all those obstacles to be the best person you can be.
And...oh yeah...you do the same for me just by being you.
And you're beautiful.
And I can't stop singing about how beautiful you are.
Did I mention I'm obsessed with you, you're beautiful, and I'll support you in life no matter what?

You get the point. Only this song below called "Machine" has a different theme. It's basically: I'm okay. I know you don't think I am, but I'm cool. And you, well, you're totally screwed up. You have no feelings and you don't like yourself and you're never going to stop.

And one other thing about this song...it's a collaboration between Josh Groban and Herbie Hancock. Unlike Josh's usual "pop-opera" style, this one is jazz-opera style. It rocks my socks.
