update

I am, without a doubt, exhausted today. I just got another pole party request for March and it looks like 4 pole parties for February in addition to the extra workshops. All this while trying to take it easy for my back. The stress of turning away private students is not helping. These people were booking with me when my business was just starting and stuck with me. Do you know how crappy I feel having to tell them I can't fit them in for any more private lessons until the end of March because my schedule is so full and I'm taking a week off at the end of the month (for the Vegas trip)? I love my students. I adore them. And they are excited and happy and thrilled every time they get to come in for their lessons. Turning them away (even temporarily) is denying us both what we love. Thus the stress.

Lucky for me my client today had to reschedule. And Sunday was already scheduled as my one day off this week, so that means I don't have to dance for two whole days in a row. That's right -- a weekend off! Today will be spent somehow simultaneously taking it easy and getting some things done around the house. Tomorrow is social time, including a clothing swap party and dinner with friends in the evening. And may I add how grateful I am for the beautiful rain today. I love the rain, and the weather is soothing me right now. It's just what I needed to help me relax.

The money pit that is Whole Foods

I just spent $92.77 at Whole Foods. Wow. That's a new record for me. Although not all of it was food. $15 of it was for a beautiful hard cover blank journal that says "Breathe, Believe & Receive" in gold foil letters on the cover. Since I just learned some new breathing meditation exercises, I thought it was perfect. I also got one all natural Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer. The rest is consumable, all natural and sugar free. Go me.
