How does sales tax work in Washington?

I just don't see the point anymore in continuing to send my students to other retailers to purchase their shoes. I spoke with a rep today from about buying wholesale. It seems the wholesale price of most platform exotic dancer shoes is $25. Most stores sell them for $45. I was thinking of discounting them down to $35 for my students. I'm also wondering if $10 per pair of shoes is worth the kind of paperwork necessary to track sales and pay taxes.

For you folks that have sold retail, how do taxes work? Do I pay the tax money to the state monthly or do they want it annually? How do you keep track of it?

Another option is selling the shoes on my website too. PayPal would take a portion of the sales in exchange for letting me accept credit card orders from non-PayPal users. But I'm already paying a total of $50 per month for the combination of PayPal and a shopping cart service that can be used on websites. I might as well sell shoes on my website to see if can get this service paid for in retail sales.
