Is Evenescence spiritual?

I've always has mixed feelings about Evanescence. On one hand their music is powerful and has such a profound effect on me that I've used it to get through challenging situations. Simply put; I love them. My point of contention has been that half the songs appear to be about how she just can't live without her lover and she's dying now that he's gone. Lyrics like:

"I lay dying
and i'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal
I'm dying, praying, bleeding, and screaming

"Now that I know what I'm without,
You can't just leave me.
Breathe into me and make me real.
Bring me to life.

All seem to indicate that once her lover leaves her she just falls apart and thinks she's going to die without him. Not exactly sane, empowering lyrics for such empowering music. My opinion of that changed once I decided to find out who the male voice is that sings some of the lyrics in "Wake Me Up Inside".
