socks and cat

A letter to the cat

Apparently there is such a thing as Peabody overload. I love her, I really do. But with her daddy in New Orleans this week she's on me constantly and every minute of the day for affection. She's either on my bed (about 80% of the day and all night long) or running around my feet meowing for me. So here's some notes to her to make our time together a little more amicable:

Dear Peabody,

I love the bed mouse game too. But when I stop playing with you and go back to sleep that's probably not a good time to attack my head. Come to think of it there probably isn't a good time.

I like the snuggles too but you need to make a separation between bath time and snuggle time. Could you maybe lick yourself when we're not all curled up together?

I enjoy it when you sleep on top of me but I'm thinking it might not be a good idea for you to keep walking on my chest before you settle down there. It's a soft area and it kinda hurts when you do that.

The same goes for my male snuggle guest. Walking on his crotch is not really appreciated. It's that whole "soft spot" rule again.

Walking around and stepping on things that make noise is not so cool at 5:00 in the morning. Quickest way ever to get booted out of my room.

Sometimes I need a break from all the kitty snuggle and attention. Please forgive me for that morning when I locked you in your room for a few hours. Sometimes a girl just needs her space.

And how do you manage to look so damn cute when you're all curled up on my bed? Makes me throw out all the rules I keep setting down for you!!
