pole practice tonight

Great work out on the pole tonight. The ballerina pole spin has traditionally been my sloppiest and I felt like I executed it quite well tonight. I also used my pole instruction video to learn a new move called the sun wheel. It is a basic beginner move but it's really quite pretty.

I also tried a daring experiment tonight. While hanging upside down on the pole I let go with one hand, using only the remaining hand and my ankles to keep me suspended. This made the descent challenging but it had a very dramatic effect when I used the free hand to run slowly up my body and then reach down over my head for the floor. I'm always looking for ways like this to make the dance more beautiful.
