Kitten behind bars

To medicate or not to medicate

Nasty head cold. My head is all stuffed up. Normally I ride these kinds of things out with only natural supplements. Cold medicine actually prolongs illness by stopping the body's natural healing process (we know this process as "cold symptoms").

But I can't go to class tomorrow feeling like this. You're supposed to stay out of your head and feel your body and get lost in the music and in touch with your sensuality. How can I do that sniffling and sneezing?

So the question is...shoud I bite the bullet and take a decongestant tomorrow? I could run out and buy one today. Although I'd rather not spend the money (I'm on a tight budget) and I may very well be okay by tomorrow. Colds are notorious for passing quickly, right?

So...spend the money and have medicine on hand for tomorrow? Or ride it out and count on it being gone by class tomorrow?

Pass the Kleenex please

Cold is getting worse. That means it's almost over, right? The sinus pressure is starting to hurt my head. I feel icky. But I can't miss class tomorrow. I drove 1300 miles for this class!!!

For only a dollar I got a travel size one dose of Advil non-drowsy Cold & Sinus. I'll relieve the symptoms long enough to take the class and practice my new pole move. Then it's back to bed for however long it takes to get over this naturally. Or not. 'Cause I'll just be better by tomorrow. You watch.
