Worth $40 to get to wear my costume for a couple hours?

I have finally made the decision to attend the 4-day long healing workshop that is the same weekend as SteamCon. I have the time off. I have the money to pay for it. And I have two instructors on standby willing to cancel their social plans for that weekend should anyone want to book a pole party while I'm away at the workshop. It works, so I'm going to make it happen.

On the upside, I will be able to attend a tiny bit of Steamcon. The vendors open up at 1pm on Friday afternoon. I don't have to be at the workshop until 6pm Friday evening. That leaves me Friday afternoon free to shop. And of course Saturday night there is a dance at Steamcon (it wouldn't be a convention without a formal dance!). The workshop gets out at 6pm on Saturday and the dance at Steamcon goes from 8pm to 1:00am. So I will get to wear my costume to the dance. Although I probably should leave the dance around 11pm so I can get up early for the workshop the next morning. I wonder if it's really worth the $40 cost to get into the convention just to shop for a couple hours and then attend a dance for about an hour to an hour and a half. Hmmmmm.

share a ticket?

Is there a way to share a ticket? Maybe you can go for one day only and let someone else go the rest of the time, and share the price?
