Can I go home next week?

After hearing from several folks in Seattle about how bad the snow is (frozen pipes, no water, no electricity, lots of friends going stir crazy being trapped inside, etc.) I decided to check the weather to see if my flight home in 8 days is even a possibility anymore. There is snow predicted every day for the next 10 days, including the day I'm supposed to fly home. I think I need to face the very real possibility that I may be trapped in California and unable to fly home. And even if I can fly home, how will I get from the airport to my home in Ballard?? There may be no New Year's eve celebrating for Cage Kitten, at least not at home with friends. My classes start up again Sunday January 4th. I have GOT to be home by January 4th somehow, even if it means taking a train.
