I'm liking the carpet tiles even for home at this point because if you get a bad stain, you just replace the square. I'm also wondering if you can pick them up off the floor and throw them in the washing machine for a thorough cleaning.
The perfect flooring in the studio would be half carpet and half wood. This way the girls who prefer floorwork on a slidy surface can use the wood half of the studio and girls like me that like a soft surface for floorwork can use the carpeted half. The trick is to find some way or some one who can install them with no lip or bump where the hardwood and carpet meet. Any kind of lip or bump would cause the girls in 6-inch stiletto stripper heels to trip as they walk from one half of the studio to the other.
I don't know how to find out if this is possible. So I'm just going to drive to Home Depot and Lowe's this week and ask. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
