When it got too cold to enjoy the glaciers from the deck, I retired to the buffet where I enjoyed my custom made lunch with floor to ceiling views of the glacier as the ship made a complete circle to make sure we could see it all. Then it was back outside to spend more time with my jaw dropped, in the absolute blissful peace that only nature in all its frozen glory can inspire.
It's inconceivable to me that I can discover so much of the most isolated and beautiful places our continent has to offer, from so much luxury. And yet I am. Combine that with 2 to 4 hours a day of theology, in person by the author and philosopher that changed my life, and this is truly the vacation and the journey of a lifetime.
*happy sigh*
