Passing the lap dance torch...

Today I felt like I really passed the torch with the exotic dance and lap dance classes to my contract instructor njredhead. I was there as her assistant this afternoon and saw her in action. She was really funny and managed to keep the girls laughing even while teaching something as profound as tapping into a side of yourself that society has taboos about. And her humor really helped the girls relax and have a great time. Everyone had fun and when the workshop was over, girls kept coming up to her to compliment her and tell her how much they enjoyed it. They even asked if she taught the pole classes, which means they want to continue and take more classes with her! Plus she loves teaching the workshops!

She's skilled, she's smart, she knows the material, she's funny, she enjoys it and my students love her. I couldn't be happier!

At the same time she was teaching my workshop, another one of my instructors was teaching my pole classes. It's a freaky experience, truly. I always dreamed of the day when I would have my own business. I just never thought I would have people working for me...let alone two of them doing so at the same time in two different locations.

You do have them sign something saying that they can't take your curriculum and teach it elsewhere, right? I think I remember you talking about that when you were first considering hiring additional teachers, but a recent incident around here has reminded me of how important it is ...
Yes, thank you for asking. They are barred from teaching any form of exotic dance or pole dance for one year after their employment with me -- within a 50 mile radius of my studio. After that year, they can teach anywhere they want. But they can't use my lesson plans or cirruculum. They have to come up with their own.
