doctor and shopping

I feel much better now that I've seen the neurologist. He did all kinds of stuff in the exam to test my balance, eyes, ears, etc. Basically he didn't find anything wrong in the exam so he says it's most likely that I have an inner ear disorder and will experience dizzy spells anywhere from once a month to maybe just a couple times per year. One of my students actually has this same thing. There is a series of ridiculously expensive tests we can do, but we'll wait to see if the dizzy spells interfere with my life or my work. If they don't, there's no need to get all the tests.

The mall was on the way home from the hospital so I hit every store there still trying to find jeans that actually fit me. I tried on more jeans than I can count but kept running in to the same problem. I am just a bit too small for a size 5 and just a bit too big for a size 3. Some size 3 pants might have fit right but they are designed for teen age girls and I definitely do not have the thighs of a tiny size 3 teen age girl. I'm a real woman, and real women have fat on their thighs. In addition to some fat, I have pretty muscular thighs from all the pole dancing. So while some size 3 jeans mostly fit, the thighs of the jeans were just too tight. I finally settled on a size 5 pair that don't quite fit right, but they will have to do because I need jeans for my trip next week.

The Northgate mall got a new Wet Seal (another store for teen girls), so I picked up a soft, pretty sweater there for my trip as well for just $18. And I got a scarf that is white and sparkly and looks like snow for only $10. Merry Christmas to me!
