This article was written in an online blog hosted by the Seattle PI. I'm not going to link to the actual article as I prefer to not have my real name linked to my LJ. So I'll quote the article about my party below. And yes, she spelled Noc Noc incorrectly (just in case some one was going to point that out):
"Saturday night I was in no position to go out but I had already committed to a Pole Dancing Party at Nok Nok.
Yes, I said Pole Dancing Party. Actually, it was an exhibition-slash-1-year-anniversary-part
Who knew?
I'll tell you what I do know...I'm pretty sure all who were not in attendance (men) would be pretty upset if they knew what they missed. Armed with a portable pole on the back stage, Nok Nok looked like an amateur gentleman's club, showing off the abilities of Level I through Level IV students. There was no nudity, but each act was sensual and provocative, a few bordered indecent. But I forgot about all of that when (Cage Kitten's real name ommitted here) herself took the stage, performing a Cirque du Soleil-type routine that proved why she was the teacher. Her moves were mesmerizing…
After the exhibition, Nok Nok turned into a Goth Club. I'd never been to a Goth Club, so I didn't know what to expect. I did know that I felt out of place and ready to leave, and yet strangely compelled to stay and stare, while the music insulted my senses.
Oh how I wish you could have seen what I saw!
It was then I realized how advantageous having a video camera would have been right about then. If only I was Video Blogging. Dammit. That certainly was a prime Video Blogging opportunity missed!
It wasn't long before we made our exit."
