I also got a stunning silk and fringe Stevie Nicks style gypsie skirt which I'm looking forward to dancing and twirling in. And a beautiful black and red gothic looking ball gown. Now all I need is a ball to go to!! I picked up a few new chokers, one of which looks like a metal collar. And I got a headband which can be worn as a headpiece as part of my belly dance costume. I also picked up what could best be described as a PVC lunch box. I guess it could be a purse. But it's shaped like a lunchbox and covered entirely in black pvc. And I found a tea rose fragrance candle. I don't wear perfume now but when I did, my favorite was "Tea Rose." So it reminds me of that.
Needless to say, I'm definitely not too disappointed that my pole party no-showed last night and I got to go to this party instead. Granted with the money I would have made had the pole party showed up, I might have been able to buy all these things. But where would I have found them all? Stuff swaps and clothing swaps are really the best parties in the world. Not only do you get to enjoy the good company of other folks and watch your formerly owned items be claimed by new and appreciative homes, but it's like shopping in a department store where everything is free!
