volunteer with me?

About 5 years ago I was going to volunteer for Seattle Shanti. I had done the preliminary paperwork and got recommendations and everything so they could screen me, and then ended up not being able to do it. It is a 1 year commitment, so you really have to be ready for it. I'm thinking of trying again, in spite of my busy schedule. But part of me is afraid to do it. It is a program that trains you and then matches you up with either a terminally ill person or an inmate that is in need of emotional support.

Would anyone in Seattle be interested in doing this with me? I bet if I had a friend to do the training with me that this would be the motivation I need. You can find out more info here: http://www.multifaith.org/Shanti/About/aboutshanti.html
