teaching progresses

Today, for the first time ever, I taught my advanced class how to climb the pole. They loved it! And much to my surprise, every one of them mastered the leg hold so that they could hold on without using their hands. They did so well that I taught them to hold with their thighs (and no hands) as well. The poor girls grimaced and moaned about the pole burn they get from doing this. But sometimes achieving something challenging and beautiful is worth the pain. Many of them laughed at the burn even as they did it, so they understand this.

A year ago I would have had no idea how to teach girls to do this. I am definitely progressing in my teaching skills!
