Girl who dances in a cage

I had to make some more difficult business decisions today. For the first time ever, I had to tell some one that they wouldn't be allowed to spin in my class without first providing a doctor's note giving her permission. She wasn't clear on how long ago her injury happened, so for all I know it's a decade healed already. But I have to be safe. She told me about it after she registered, so I feel really bad that I had to tell her after she paid for the class that she can't spin without a doctor's note.

Another gal can't pay for a spot in my next session until she gets paid a week and a half from now. She even offered to bring in a post dated check for me to hold. I had to think it over. The truth is, people change their minds for all kinds of reasons. And I could turn people away after this class sells out only to have this girl never actually pay me or make good on the check. And sure, I have a waiting list of folks I could call if that happens, they would love to take her place if she doesn't pay. But that creates quite a bit of work for me in my already overbooked days. I can't afford the time loss right now of having to keep track of some one to see if they pay and then having to fill their spot from the waiting list if they don't. If I had a secretary, it would be different. But I don't right at this moment. And I offer credit card registration. I'm not sure why she can't pay with credit, but I feel bad for her that she can't.
