As much as I love the idea of teaching for the first ever gym in the entire county to offer pole classes, there's no way I'll give up my Seattle studio to commute to Bellevue. So I let my friend (another pole teacher who doesn't have her own school yet) in on the deal so that she could teach there with me as well. My hope was that I could teach one day class there per week (thus missing the rush hour traffic) and my friend could teach the evening classes.
The meeting went well. They owner and investor were not able to give us an offer yet and will be calling me in a few days with an actual dollar figure. In the end, this may be a better opportunity for my friend than it will be for me. And I think it's important that I support other pole teachers like this. There is enough business for all of us. So even if I don't take advantage of it, I'm excited to see her benefit from it.
