I made it!

It took a lot to get me out last night. The idea of missing my favorite celebration day of the year really helped. It still took me about 2 hours to get out the door. And half way through getting into my costume I didn't think I would make it. But Tony came over and helped and escorted me to the party. I even really enjoyed the drive over because we got to see so many people walking the streets in their costumes. I love Halloween!! I have to say how incredibly glad I am that I went. And to everyone who hugged me, spoke with me, indulged me by asking me questions about my hair and my dancing (I can't believe you guys aren't tired of hearing about those things!) and just gave me wonderful eye candy in your creative costumes...thank you! You made me feel very good and very grateful.

My costume didn't quite come together in the way I hoped, because the wings were too small. All that effort to find small wings that wouldn't whack people in the face at parties and what I ended up with were wings so small that I wasn't sure people would know I was a goth fairy. But some folks actually shared their appreciation with me for wearing tiny wings that won't hit them at the party, so it made it all worthwhile. And I even got some compliments on my costume and my wings. Yay!
