Yes, people do die from tweeting

When I heard about the death of Dr. Frank Ryan last month I was thinking how sad it was. He worked his entire life to become a famous plastic surgeon to the stars and was super rich and had his life cut short by accidentally driving over a cliff. He also founded a charity that gave inner city kids an outdoor ranch experience.

But it just got sadder. There was nothing in his system at the time of his death that would interfere with his ability to drive. But at the exact time he drove over the cliff he was also posting a pic of his dog in the car on Twitter along with the message "Border collie Jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune".

That's right, a rich and famous and generous man with a promising life died from distracted driving due to tweeting. At least the dog was thrown from the car and survived the accident.
