stumping the surgeon

Two of my instructors -- who are also my friends -- went with me to my pre-op appointment today for support. My surgeon has been doing this for so long that I bet he thinks he has heard every possible pre-surgery question. But today we three girls surprised him!

I was thinking that even though I won't be able to safely pole dance for 2 months, maybe I could teach just floorwork and wallwork exotic dance moves after only one month. But to be safe we began to demonstrate some of the moves on the surgeon's office floor. The conversation went something like this: "Can she do this move...how about this one...what about this kneeling one where you arch backward?" My instructor assumes all kinds of somewhat provocative moves on the exam room floor as the surgeon and his other doctor/assistant watch. I don't think they knew quite what to make of us and clearly no one had EVER asked him this before. It was amusing stumping the surgeon!

Unfortunately there were a couple important moves we showed them that he determined probably are not safe to do. So I may not be able to teach any form of dance for 2 months. I have been trying to think of some way to bring in some extra income while I'm recovering so that I will not be losing so much money every week for two months. But I will be too busy running my business to work elsewhere.
